Victoria is a very talented, committed and professional
young player who has always enjoyed taking on big challenges from a very young
age. Already with a strong history of achievements and success behind her
she has her mind and heart set on international success. However more than
that she is determined to be the very best player she can be and is always
looking to develop her game. Victoria is a member of the Lloyd Elsmore
badminton club which is the largest junior badminton club in NZ. Lloyd
Elsmore have excellent attendances at their tournaments with a high standard of
entry so here title wins there in some cases are as significant as some
association tournaments. Hampered by injury in 2006 she recovered and came back
strongly in 2007. Her consistency and ability to focus on the job at hand
is a trademark of her play no matter what the score or situation that she is
facing. In 2007 she won a string of age group awards in the U16 age group
despite still being U14. 2008 was a busy year as she moved up an age
grroup and again she dominated the youth scene in 2009 Recently in 2010 she
was one of just two badminton athletes in NZ selected for the NZ Youth
Olympics Team.
