The
Griffen Park Junior Badminton club has been running for almost 20 years in
the Lynfield area. We hold our club nights every Monday night from
5pm to 8pm in the gymnasium (with 6 courts) at Lynfield College starting
from March until mid September excluding school term break and public
holidays each year.
We
enroll children from about the age of 8 through to 18 years old and we
have children coming to join us from local and all other areas.
Children in Primary and Intermediate school are being enrolled and coached
in Group 1 (from 5pm to 6pm) and children at high school are catered for
in Group 2 (6pm to 8pm).
We
have children playing at all levels ranging from beginners to advanced
players who play in the Age-Group Representative Teams for Auckland.
We also greatly encourage and support our members to participate in the
Interclub matches run by Auckland badminton Association. We are a
very family orientated Badminton Club run by a group of enthusiastic and
committed parents; come and see for yourself.
