Yes it's time for the change of season
into summer badminton. Everyone is welcome members and non
members. You can join with friends in any of the singles
ladders, doubles ladders or summer team leagues - entry forms are
needed soon for all of these. See the noticeboard on the front page of
this website. If you miss out on these you can still go to Summer Club
on Mondays starting Nov 1st - this is just $12 per night and games
will be made up for you and shuttles provided. You will get to
play with players from all round Auckland at a level that suits you.
Great way to make new friends and get to know the badminton scene in
Auckland.

Aucklanders Win National Titles
at NZ Masters
Thanks to the volunteers, Masters
committee and Badminton NZ for the running of the NZ Masters last
week. There is a video coming out soon of the event but also
thanks to Soon Wong we have some great action shots and pictures that
capture the emotion and matches that unfolded on court. There
were over 200 entries including players from overseas.

and Donna Haliday (Ak) / Danielle Barry (Wtk) were knocked out last
night losing their quarterfinal matches at the Commonwealth Games. For an update on the full scores and latest badminton

Awesome wins to the Auckland U17 and U15
teams who took out both national teams titles a tremendous achievement
- well done guys!!! The final placings were: U17 1st Auckland,
2nd North Harbour, 3rd Pop n Good Waikato and 4th Canterbury.
U15 1st Auckland 1, 2nd North Harbour, 3rd Auckland 2, 4th Otago.
The NZ Age Group Championships Individual event starts on Monday.

Congratulations to Victoria Cheng who won
the NZ U19 Girls Singles Title at Counties Manukau. This is a
great title for Victoria who has just recently returned from the
Singapore Youth Olympics -

top 3 teams all beat each other. Waikato beat North Harbour, North
